The 14th ISI General Assembly and the 4th SatCom Event have been jointly held in Brussels, Belgium, the 18th and 19th of October 2011.

The two events counted 57 participants, representing a wide part in the ISI membership and the SatCom stakeholders.

The SatCom event consisted of four panel sessions, respectively on ISI & Rural Development - "What are the conditions for broadband access via Satellite to be accepted by the market?", ISI & the World - "International Cooperation and Relations with Emerging Economics", ISI & Future Internet - "Is there a role for Satellite in Future Internet", and ISI & EU Securit - "How to strengthen the European Disaster Response?: The role of satellite"
